Death: Orville Vibbert

Orville Vibbert, our sweetheart, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away at his home in Lehi, Feb. 14, 1998, at the age of 89.

He was born Feb. 16, 1908 in Summer Shade, Kentucky, to Charlie and Myrtie Sartain Vibbert. He married Rowene Russon, Oct. 22, 1943 in Twin Falls, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, Jan. 17, 1957.Orville was a farmer and spent many years farming in Lehi with his partner, John Price. He had lived in Kentucky and Idaho before coming to Utah. He was a High Priest in the LDS Church and a friend to all.

Survived by his wife of Lehi; one daughter, Karla (Arthur) Harding, Lehi; five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Verda Stuart, Chloe Baigrie, Marion Bingham, and Myrtle Bean, all of Idaho; Mary Alice Franks, Pendleton, Oregon; sister-in-law, Hannah Vibbert, Idaho. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Mavis Jackson, great-grandchild, Devin Max Harding, brother, Raymond Vibbert, and sister, Buelah Louder.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Lehi 9th Ward LDS Chapel, 465 E. 300 No. Friends may call at a special viewing held in honor of his 90th Birthday, Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main, Lehi. Friends may also call at the Church, Tuesday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Lehi City Cemetery. Contributions suggested to the American Cancer Society.
