In a movie about trouble at home, it can help to have your star come from your own hometown.
Screenwriter Joe Eszterhas is scheduled to start shooting his movie "Male Pattern Baldness" in May, and he wants fellow Clevelander Drew Carey to be the lead. "I think we have a good shot of getting him," Eszterhas told the Akron Beacon Journal over the weekend. The Paramount Pictures film is about a man trying to cope with a failing marriage. It's directed by Betty Thomas, who made Howard Stern's "Private Parts." Eszterhas' last movie, "Telling Lies in America," was also shot in Cleveland in August 1996.
"I love the idea of Drew, Betty and I working on this together," he said.
