SEC chairman set to speak at technology conference

Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Arthur Levitt Jr. has agreed to keynote Sen. Bob Bennett's Financial Services and Technology Conference in Salt Lake City on March 5 and 6.

Bennett said others scheduled to speak include: Ed Horowitz, Citi-corp Executive Vice President; Lewis Levin, Microsoft vice president of the Desktop Finance Division; and Scott Lowry, president of Digital Signature Trust Co.Bennett, chairman of the Senate Banking Subcommittee on Financial Services and Technology, said the conference will especially look at "how we deal with privacy in today's technological world."

The conference at the Little America hotel opens March 5 with an evening reception and dinner. On March 6, a breakfast is followed by speakers, panels and a closing lunch where Gov. Mike Leavitt is scheduled to speak.
