Jackie L. Furlong, 63, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 1998 at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, due to complications following heart surgery.
She was born on August 14, 1934 in Los Angeles, California, a daughter of Stanley and May Price LeSieur. On June 20, 1955 she married her sweetheart, Douglas L. Furlong in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Jackie was a member of the Brigham City 21st LDS Ward. She had been active serving in the Relief Society Presidency, and as an instructor for the YWMIA. She had been a volunteer at the Brigham City Community Hospital. She was a member of the Heritage Theater where she was an actress and director. Jackie had also been on the Board of Directors at Heritage Theater. Jackie and Doug were co-owners of Furlong Photography in Brigham City. She loved her grandchildren and loved to read to them, loved to do cross word puzzles, liked live theatres and classical music.
Surviving are her husband, Douglas of Brigham City; three children, Jeff (Kathy) Furlong of Brigham City; Mark (Teri) Furlong of South Jordan; Lori (Tim) Jackson of Jacksonville, Florida; seven grandchildren, Cori, Rachel, Carly, Danielle, Erica, Evan, and Nikki. Also surviving are her mother, May LeSieur of Salt Lake City; one brother and two sisters, Brent LeSieur of Sandy; Jessie Knudsen of Denver, Colorado; Diane Moulton of Midvale.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 1998 at 11 a.m. at the Brigham City 21st Ward Chapel (South Stake Center), 865 So. 300 W. Friends may call on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Myers Mortuary, 205 So. 100 E., Brigham City. Utah and on Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
