Death: Thirza Arrowsmith Woolley ""Zan""

Thirza Anna Arrowsmith Woolley died of cancer on Tuesday, February 17, 1998 at her home.

She was born November 7, 1928 in Orange, New Jersey. Daughter of Harold Walton and Thirza Abrams Arrowsmith. She attended school in Orange, New Jersey; Rochester, New York; Atlanta, Georgia; and Palo Alto, California where she graduated from Palo Alto High School. She attended Mills College and the University of California at Berkeley as an art major. She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. Her studies and her unusual artistic talents served to enrich the lives of her family and friends throughout her life. She married Harold "Hack" Woolley in St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Palo Alto, California on April 2, 1949.She is survived by her husband, "Hack"; a son, Harold Dilworth "Hal" Woolley (Rosemary); a daughter, Anna Mead Woolley Drake (Curtis); a brother, Dirck Arrowsmith (Jean) of Yuba City, California; four grandchildren, John and Emily Drake; Meghan and Natasha Woolley.

Zan was a member of the Salt Lake Junior League and the Town Club and served as a volunteer of the Travelers Aid Society.

Burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends are invited to a celebration of Zan's life at the family residence in Salt Lake City on Saturday, February 21, 1998 from 1 to 3 p.m. Funeral Directors, Evans & Early.
