Jackson plans concert to aid N. Korean children

Pop superstar Michael Jackson plans to perform a charity concert in Seoul, South Korea, in October to raise money for starving North Korean children, the National Unification Ministry said in Seoul on Wednesday.

"The plan is being discussed between the government and Michael Jackson's party," a ministry spokesman said. "It's being targeted for October."He said no further information was available.

Local media reported 50 other celebrities were invited to attend the fund-raising concert.

They included tenor Luciano Pavarotti, singers Whitney Houston, Boys II Men and Celine Dion, actress Elizabeth Taylor, basketball star Michael Jordan and golfer Tiger Woods, they said.
