A house fire that killed four children was set by an arsonist hired by the downstairs landlord to burn out a tenant who refused to pay or move, police said.
The landlord allegedly paid for the job with a Rottweiler dog."It's just the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen," deputy chief Benny Napoleon said Wednesday. "You can't make any sense of this . . . It's been more and more like something that couldn't be real."
Police have arrested the landlord and the 35-year-old alleged arsonist, who they say took the Rottweiler as payment to set Tuesday night's fire.
