Death: Olive M. Grode

Olive Marie Pickett Grode, our beloved and loving mother, went home peacefully to our Heavenly Father on Wednesday Feb 18, 1998.

She was born March 29, 1921 in Tooele, Utah, the daughter of Laura Leigh and Ephraim J. Pickett. Olive married her loving friend and companion, Marshall A.(Red) Grode, Sept 23,1950. Together they raised their three children, Stacey, Bryan and Bruce. Her life was devoted to her husband, and family. She will always be remembered for her loving and caring ways towards friends and family. Olive was a member of the LDS Church. She was employed at Tooele Army Depot for 21 years and retired Aug 13,1973.Surviving are her children, Stacey Campbell,of Ogden, Utah; Bruce Grode, of Denver, CO.; Bryan and Tina Grode, of Tooele; two grandchildren: Madison Grode, Amber G. Peterson; sisters, Eva Wiseman and Doris Woishnis and a brother, Reed Pickett. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marshall (Red) Grode, daughter, Leigh Ann Grode, and a brother, Ross Pickett.

A viewing will be held on Friday Feb 20, from 6-8 p.m. at Tate Mortuary, 110 South Main St. and one hour prior to the services at the church. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb 21, at 1 p.m. at the Tooele Stake Center, 253 So 200 East, Tooele, UT. Interment Tooele City Cemetery.
