Death: Olive Heppler Stephan

Olive Heppler Stephan, 84, formerly of Salt Lake City, died February 10, 1998 in a Northern California hospital. She had been living near her daughter in Santa Clara, Calif. since 1995.

Born August 8, 1913 in Richfield, Utah to John E. and Eleanor Bigler Heppler. Married Raymond J. Stephan, April 2, 1934 at her sister, Ruth's home in Piedmont, Calif. They had one child, and later divorced. She was active in the LDS Church and sang with the Salt Lake Oratorio Society for many years.She was preceded in death by four of her sisters, Naomi Tevrenier, Ruth von Guten, Mary Courtright and Ellen Christensen.

Survivors: sister, Louise Hind, Hackettstown, New Jersey; daughter, Helene Huff, Santa Clara, Calif; grandchildren, Jack D. Huff, Eugene, Oregon; Debby Huff, West Valley City; Michael Huff, Bountiful; Rebecca Huff, Santa Clara, Calif.; and Sarah Huff, Mountain View, Calif.; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on February 23 at 12 noon in the Salt Lake 20th Ward, 107 North G Street, Salt Lake City. Friends may call on the family one hour prior to services in the 20th Ward Relief Society Room. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
