Death: Theda Reynolds Shirley

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister returned to our Heavenly Father on February 21, 1998, after a brief illness. She left the world as she lived in it-with love, patience, gentleness and great hope for the future.

Born July 17, 1918, in Marysville, Idaho, to Boyd and Allie Smith Reynolds. Attended school in Ashton and Rexburg, Idaho, graduated from Ricks College in 1938. Married Henry M. Shirley, April 14, 1942, in Tacoma, WA. Later solemnized in Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Served in many capacities in LDS Church. She worked beside her lifelong sweetheart, Henry, for 32 years operating Shirleys' Grocery Store and Hamburger Stand. They retired to Salt Lake City in 1976.Theda loved flowers, watching the snow fall, and playing bridge with friends. Above all, she loved the company of her husband, daughters, and grandchildren. As the family genealogist, her family heritage was dear to her. In recent years, she found great joy in organizing and attending the Reynolds reunions. Her gifts of crocheted hand towels will be remembered as a gesture of her love by her family and friends. We will miss her and her loving, generous ways.
