Carlos S. Lucero, 72, died Feb. 22, 1998 in Sandy, Utah.

He was born April 4, 1925 in Roy, New Mexico, to Sepriano and Natividad Lopez Lucero. Married Seferina Lopez in Dawson, New Mexico on December 2, 1944. He was a Veteran of World War II, and a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. He loved music, and was a very talented musician and vocalist.Survived by wife Seferina of Sandy; children,Vivian Rich (Bill), Gloria Martinez (Roger), Carlos, Margaret Montano, Emerita Gomez (Jose), Lorenzo (Loretta), Dorothy Samora (Raul), Frank (Nina), Danny (Laurie), Victoria Lucero, Rebecca Lucero, Natividad Huitron; 39 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; brothers, Daniel and Manuel, N.M; sister, Mary Pennington, Colorado. Preceded in death by sons, Leroy and Jimmy.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Feb. 27, 1998, at 10 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church, 75 E. Lennox, Midvale. Holy Rosary will be recited at the church Thursday at 7 p.m., where friends may call from 6-7 p.m. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
