U.S. Army Humvee vehicles leave Camp Doha, seven miles from Kuwait City, ahead of armored personnel carriers from the 92nd Chemical Company from Fort Stewart, Ga., on Monday for their deployment site in the Kuwaiti desert near the Iraq border. Hundreds of U.S. soldiers poured into Kuwait Monday having no idea that, while they were in flight, a deal had been struck in Baghdad that may well change the face of their mission. The unofficial word of the peace deal spread quickly.
