Betty Mae Griguhn Martin, age 73, returned to her Heavenly Father Feb. 21, 1998 in Salt Lake City following a lingering illness.

Born October 22, 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Frank and Birdenia Pearl Bell Griguhn. Married Donald Edward Martin on June 19, 1948; later sealed for all time and eternity in the Jordan River Temple.She was an active member of the LDS Church in the Kearns Meadow View 1st Ward. She has served in many callings in her ward.

She was a graduate of Provo High School. She had worked as a telephone operator, teachers aid, retail clerk, housewife and mother. She had a love for family, friends and her dog, "Muffin". She enjoyed traveling and camping in the motorhome with Don.

She is survived by son, Stephen D. and Joella Martin, Kearns; daughters, Patricia and Kenneth Paxman, West Jordan; Janet Jamison, Kearns; grandchildren, Kenneth and Jennifer Paxman, Casey, Christopher, and Cody Paxman; Stephanie, Scott and Michael Martin; Ryan and Sara Jamison; great-grandchild, Madeline Paxman; sisters, Dorthy Weight, and Jenice Butcher; brothers, Lowell Griguhn, and Melvin Griguhn. Preceded in death by her husband, Don, parents, one brother, one sister.

She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 27, 1998, 11 a.m. in the Kearns Meadow View 1st Ward, 4575 West 5415 South. Friends may call Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road, and Friday, one hour prior to services at the church.
