LeAnn Rimes gets the blues when litter gets tossed around in Texas.

The 15-year-old country music sensation from Garland is the latest Texan to appear in the "Don't Mess With Texas" anti-litter advertising campaign, credited with a 72 percent drop in roadside litter since 1986.Her new TV spot was scheduled to begin airing across Texas Wednesday, the same day she was to attend the Grammy Awards ceremony in New York as a nominee for best female country performance. Rimes was named last year's new artist of the year after hits like "Blue," which is used as a basis for her Texas commercial.

"When you throw bottles, cans and wrappers out along these Texas roads, oh it makes me so blue," she sings.
