Kudos to the Salt Lake City Council for realizing that the gay nondiscrimination ordinance was nothing more than "symbolism over substance." It seems that Deeda Seed brought this to the forefront only to demonstrate that she has heart. Never mind that no one had been fired from a city position for being gay.
It seems that council members Rogan, Seed and Milner should spend their valuable time on issues that are of relevance rather than just to add more legislation and rules.Lastly, one of the gay advocates was carrying a sign that read, "We're here and we're queer." To that I can only say, you are here because your parents were not queer.
