Grant Leroy Cox, age 50 of Lehi, died in Bluffdale, Utah, on Wednesday, February 25, 1998.

He was born March 16, 1947 in Lehi, Utah, son of James William and Mabel Irene Calton Cox. Married Jenniell Elaine Draper on Nov. 4, 1978 in Carson City, Nevada. She died Dec. 2, 1990. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was employed by the State of Utah Correctional Department for 22 years as a prison guard. He enjoyed hunting, camping, and was an avid firearms collector and marksman.Survived by four sons and one daughter; David James (Velvet) Cox, Colorado Springs, CO.; Joshua Grant Cox, American Fork; Christopher Max (Jalin) Cox, Lehi; Randy (Cozette) Patton, Lindon; Wendi Elkins, Sandy; 12 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Iris (Denny) Routh, Hooper; Ina (Wesley) Gilbert, West Valley City; Ilene (Terry) Sanders, Loomis, CA.

Funeral will be Monday, March 2, 1998 at 11 a.m. in the Wing Mortuary Chapel, 118 E. Main, Lehi, where friends may call Sunday evening 6-8 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Lehi City Cemetery with an honor guard.
