Theresa May (Rupp) Johnson, who was born on September 12, 1907 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Florance May Rupp and John Enoch Johnson, died February 25, 1998, surrounded by the love of her family.
Married Laurence (Bill) Charles Johnson, June 13, 1933 in Portland, Oregon. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Except for 10 years spent in the San Francisco Bay area, where she was employed by the Hearst Corporation, Theresa lived most of her life in Salt Lake City, where she was an active member of the LDS Church, most recently Parley's Fourth Ward and of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was a great cook and had a passionate interest in and knowledge of various world cultures which she shared with her family and fellow church members.Survived by sons, Larry and Rick; daughter-in-law, Terri; friend, Jim McDermott; three grandchildren, Matthew Mahlon, Erynne Victoria, and Heather Autumn; five sisters, Florance, Arvella, Bernece, Jackie and Barbara. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years; brothers, Mahlon and John Enoch; sister, Ruth.
Funeral services, Saturday, February 28, 1998, 1 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, where friends may call one hour before the service. Interment, Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery.
