W. Jordan Chamber organizing panel on home-based business

A committee that will focus on issues related to home-based business is being organized by the West Jordan Chamber of Commerce, and local home entrepreneurs are invited to apply.

Chamber spokeswoman Susan Green noted that about two-thirds of the business licenses issued by West Jordan City each year go to city residents with home occupations. The new committee will provide a forum focusing on the needs and problems faced by those business owners, she said, and offer the chamber's assistance in helping them grow.

Four or five people are needed for the committee and can contact either the chamber at 569-5151 or Jeff Hillstead at 963-6693.

Owners of home-based businesses also are invited to contact the chamber with recommendations for activities, topics for forum discussions and speakers.
