French honor Douglas as their `golden boy'

Michael Douglas has been honored by the French government as "Hollywood's most talented golden boy."

Douglas was awarded the Order of Arts and Letters by Culture Minister Catherine Trautmann on Friday."Hollywood's most talented golden boy has not disowned the young rebel of years gone-by," Trautmann said.

Douglas, speaking in heavily accented French, said: "Receiving this honor from a country I admire so much overwhelms me."

The star of "Wall Street" and "Fatal Attraction" was in Paris to receive a special Cesar award - the French equivalent of an Oscar - on Saturday for life achievement.
