Former USU official pleads guilty to drug-fraud charges

The former director of high school and college relations at Utah State University has pleaded guilty to fraudulently obtaining prescription drugs.

Mark Tenhoeve, 45, resigned from USU when charged with 14 counts of prescription drug fraud in December. Nine of the third-degree felony counts were dropped in a plea bargain with prosecutors.Prosecutors have agreed to recommend probation instead of jail time for Tenhoeve. He is scheduled to be sentenced March 16.
