Death: Clyde Earl Florence

Clyde Earl Florence passed away February 1, 1998 in a Las Vegas hospital from a stroke.

He was born September 27, 1920 in Salt Lake City, Utah to James and Mary Jane Spencer Florence. He was the eleventh child of twelve. He married JoAnn Erickson November 26, 1953 in Las Vegas, later solemnized in the Los Angeles LDS Temple in 1963. Clyde was educated in Salt Lake City graduating from the University of Utah. He served in the Air Force in World War II. He worked for International Harvester, then Fruehauf Trailer and moved to Southern California in 1962. After retirement they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1994.Survived by his wife, JoAnn of Las Vegas; sons, Scott (Jill) of Kaysville; Craig of Las Vegas; daughters Susan (James) Mesarch of Palm Desert, California; Tamara (Brent) Roberts of Idaho Falls, Idaho; 18 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a brother, Lloyd Eldridge of Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by one grandchild, Kyra Mesarch; and ten brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, February 5, 1998 in the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive, where friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Entombment Wasatch Lawn Mausoleum.
