Death: Kjeld Erik Jorgensen

Our loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather, Kjeld Jorgensen, 87 passed from this life to join his eternal companion on February 5, l998.

Born in Copenhagen, Denmark on June 7, 1910, to Rudolf and Meta Hansen Jorgensen. Immigrated to the US (Utah) in l929. Married Olivia Beth Harland in 1936, later sealed for time and eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. He was a member of the Mormon Battalion and Scandia Male chorus. Responded graciously in many church callings and volunteer work for senior citizens. He was an active member of the 10th ward for over fifty years. He was a dedicated worker and loved his job up until the end. Through his humor and gregarious personality, he touched the hearts of everyone who met him. He will be deeply missed.Survived by daughter, Deon (Fred) Neria; son, Lynn (Nancy) Jorgensen; daughter, RaNae (Ray) Robertson; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and countless friends. Preceded in death by wife Beth, son, Bryan, daughter, JoAnne, granddaughter, Laurie and brother Preben.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 9, 1998, 12 noon, at the Larkin Mortuary Chapel, 260 East South Temple where friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services. Interment Elysian Burial Gardens. Special thanks to the caring staff at LDS Hospital Transitional Care Unit.
