William Clark Dykman, died Thursday, February 5, 1998 of heart failure.
He was born Jan. 22, 1943 in Salt Lake City, UT to A. LeGrande and Artoise Sevy Dykman. He married DeeAnn Johnson on Nov. 4, 1974 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They are the parents of three beloved daughters, Brandy (Jerry) Radl, Artoise and Candace. He was grandfather to Joshua, Alex and Jordan. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him. Bill served an LDS mission in Florida and was an active member of the LDS Church. It was said he was the "best home teacher" in their ward. He touched so many lives with his quiet, caring love and friendship.He worked at Kennecott, retired with 27 years with the Air Reserve and Utah National Guard. Currently employed as a bailiff for the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Department.
He is also survived by his mother, Artoise Gardner; brothers, Tom (Nancy); Bob (Claudia); Vic (Diane). Preceded in death by his father, LeGrande and sister, Carol.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 9, 1998 at 12 noon at the Bennion Heights 1st Ward Chapel, 6330 So. Prairie View Dr. (3500 West). Friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State St. and Monday at the church from 11 to 11:45 a.m. Interment Murray City Cemetery.
