Friends and family express their gratitude for the life of Thora Jeppson Spilker, 91, who passed away peacefully at her home on February 6, 1998.

Thora was born August 2, 1906 in Perry, Utah to John Ephraim Jeppson and Emelia Larsen Jeppson, the first of seven children. She married Herman Hugo Spilker May 27, 1927 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away January 23, 1981.She was an expert seamstress and she used this talent to supplement the family income. Her main focus and enduring love was always her family. She was an active member of the LDS church and responded graciously to many church callings. She was an accomplished family historian and researched many family lines extensively. She was a great influence for good in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was an angel mother and grandmother and wise friend to her family.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Herman Larry (Colleen) Spilker, Paul Hart (Ann) Spilker, Marianne Wright, and Carene (Wayne) Erickson; one sister, Ruthory Brown; 22 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband; two sons-in-law; one granddaughter; two brothers, and three sisters.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 10, 1998, 11 a.m. at Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 South) SLC, UT 84121. Friends may call at the mortuary February 9, Monday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and at the mortuary one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Sandy City Cemetery.
