Clara Catherine Lundin, 72, died February 6, 1998 in Orem, Utah.
Born June 24, 1925 in Park City, Utah to John Lamond and Nora Johnston Simpson. Married Andrew Elvin Lundin II May 6, 1950 in the old Methodist Church in Park City, Utah. She enjoyed singing in the Choralettes, collecting dolls, working with ceramics, flower shows in the county fair and during Swiss Days. Active in the 4-H and Girl Scouts. She was the Civic Defense Director and a school teacher. Donated her hair to be used as cross hairs in gun sites and welded grids for radar as part of the war effort during World War II.She is survived by her husband, Andy of Midway; sons, Andrew (Terri), Randy (Rosemary), Ronny (Jeannie), Michael (Pat); and a daughter, Nora Lundin; 10 grandchildren. Preceded in death by brothers, James William Simpson, Robert Simpson and John (Jack) Lamond Simpson II.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 10, 1998 at 2 p.m. in the Midway 2nd Ward Chapel (200 S. 250 E.). Friends may call at Olpin Mortuary Monday 6-8 p.m. and at the church Tuesday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Midway Cemetery.
