Death: Helen N. LeCheminant

Helen N. LeCheminant, age 95, died February 5, 1998.

She was born Feb. 27, 1902 in Manti, UT, to James P. and Clara M. Nelson. Her high school education was at Wasatch Academy, Mt. Pleasant, UT. After which she attended the University of Utah, where she graduated with honors. She taught school in the Salt Lake Districts for 30 years. She was a member of the First Unitarian Church, and was active in church affairs for many years.She is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Severin, Los Altos Hills, CA; Betty Smith, Salt Lake City; stepsons, Victor LeCheminant, Lincoln LeCheminant, and stepdaughter-in-law, Phyllis LeCheminant, all of Salt Lake City. Also surviving are three nieces, Lois MacHale, Los Altos Hills, CA; Shirley Hudson, Torrance, CA; and Susan Cooper, Rogers, AR; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 11, at 11 a.m. at The First Unitarian Church, 569 South 1300 East, Salt Lake City. The family requests no flowers but it is suggested that those wishing to do so make contributions in her name to the Shriners Hospital for children.
