Death: Robert Leroy Petersen

Robert Leroy Petersen, 50, passed away Friday, Feb 6, 1997, of a heart attack.

He was born March 11, 1947 in Brigham City, Utah, a son of William Leroy and Beth Steed Petersen. He graduated from Bear River High School, where he won honors on the swimming team. He graduated from Utah State University with an associate degree in engineering. Robert married Patricia Wiley in Logan, Utah; they were later divorced. He married Barbara Smith, August 30, 1980 in Elko, Nevada. He was a member of the LDS Church. Robert's hobbies include fishing, hunting, motorcycling and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was employed at Hill Air Force Base as an aircraft maintenance supervisor until his recent retirement.He is survived by his wife, of Roy; three sons: Chad Petersen, of Clearfield, UT; Bryan and Julie Petersen, Fort Sill, OK: Wayne Petersen, of Clearfield, UT; two stepsons and three stepdaughters: Michael and Theresa Mancuso, Of Salt Lake City, UT; Robert and Isabelle Mancuso, of Ogden, UT; Dana Green, of Roy, UT; Marianne Mancuso, of Ogden, UT; Gina and Thane Minor, of Roy, UT; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his parents, of Penrose; two brothers: Michael and Linda Petersen, of Penrose; and Kim Petersen, of Tremonton.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 10, 1998 at 1 p.m. at Petersen Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South in Brigham City. Friends may call 11:30 until time of service. Interment will be in the Penrose Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the American Heart Association.
