Michael Thomas Herzog, age 44, passed away March 7, 1998 in Mesquite, Nevada, in an automobile accident.
Born August 11, 1953, in Salt Lake City Utah, to Joseph Ralph Herzog Jr. and Pearle Gray Herzog. He married Anna Suzette Despain on July 24, 1994 in Sun Valley, Idaho.Michael graduated from Skyline High School and attended the University of Utah. He was employed 19 years with Consumer Preferred and earned numerous sales awards including top salesman nationally for several years running. He was a fan of all sports and like his father was an avid Jazz fan. Michael's enthusiasm and outgoing personality will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Michael dearly loved his wife and sons and was especially proud of their many accomplishments. He was a member of the LDS Church.
Michael is survived by his wife, Anna Suzette Herzog, of Salt Lake City; two sons, Cory Herzog serving a mission in Tennessee, and Casey Herzog of Salt Lake City, Utah; his mother, Pearle Gray Herzog; two brothers and three sisters, Prudy (Dennis) Hyland, Lufkin, Texas; Patsy (Col. Timothy) Hatch, Little Rock, Arkansas; Dr. Briant (Marcia) Herzog, Dallas, Texas; Ronald (Linda) Herzog, Oceanside, California; Becky (Mark) Lambson, Logan, Utah. Preceded in death by his father, Joseph Ralph Herzog Jr.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 11, 1998, 11 a.m., at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, with a public viewing at 10 a.m. at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
