The fenced-off intersection at 400 South and Main Street will reopen Monday morning, Utah Transit Authority officials said.

Crews closed the intersection last year to lay TRAX (light-rail) lines. Construction was supposed to take two years in the downtown area, but UTA is about a year ahead of schedule with the project. TRAX should be rolling by March of 2000, according to UTA.
