SHARE Provo mayor organizes sesquicentennial panel

Mayor Lewis Billings has organized an ad hoc committee to plan the city's sesquicentennial celebration.

Sandi Henderson, owner of R. Spencer Hines Mansion Bed and Breakfast, and Brent Ashworth, vice president of Nature's Sunshine Products, will co-chair the seven-member panel. The committee will recommend activities and events to commemorate Provo's sesquicentennial year.The city turns 150 years old April 19, 1999.

Other committee members are Julie Austin, Louis Crandall, Susan Sorensen, state Rep. Jordan Tanner, R-Provo, and Carol Walker.
