The Utah Republican Assembly will hold a statewide rally Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Utah Valley State College main ballroom.
Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, will be the featured speaker. The public is invited.A nationally recognized speaker and writer, Paul has written a number of books including, "Freedom Under Siege." Phyllis Schlafly, founder and national president of Eagle Forum, will also speak to the rally via telephone hookup.
The Utah Republican Assembly promotes principles over politics and is organizing statewide as part of a national movement.
Utah Assembly President, Don Ruzicka said, "We are not afraid to publicly call Republicans to task who violate or abandon Republican principles."
