Oklahoma coach Kelvin Sampson has told Michigan officials and others who asked to talk to him that he will remain coach of the Sooners.
Administration officials from Michigan, Virginia and Alabama had asked earlier in the week to talk to Sampson about coaching vacancies. Sampson said then he would listen to what Virginia and Michigan had to say but wasn't interested in Alabama.He also said he was happy at Oklahoma.
Michigan named Brian Ellerbe as its coach Friday. Ellerbe had been interim coach the past year.
