Jazz stats: Appeared in 765 games and averaged 16.2 points. Made 530
3-pointers during his career.
Jazz memory: The 1983-84 Midwest Division championship. "When they raised the flag in the arena, that was memorable," Griffith said. "Considering where the Jazz came from, it was nice to come out and make a stance. We were going upward." The Golden Griff also recalled the night his No. 35 was retired by the Jazz. "That is the ultimate pat on the back," he said. Griffith admits Salt Lake wasn't exactly his first choice as a place to play after earning player of the year honors while leading Louisville to the NCAA title, but he looks back upon his pro career with a smile and good memories. His only regret? Not winning an NBA championship. Griffith plans to return to Utah this spring to watch the playoffs.
