Swastikas were found scrawled Saturday at a historic Jewish cemetery and an Orthodox synagogue, where vandals also left a frozen pig's head.

A black swastika was painted near the front door and the pig's head found on steps outside Congregation B'nai Abraham, detective Joseph Milligan said. Hours later, similar black swastikas were found blocks away on a historic marker outside Mikveh Israel Cemetery, which contains graves of leading Jewish figures from the colonial era.Police believe the vandals struck sometime late Friday or early Saturday - the Jewish Sabbath.
