Our loving husband, father and grandfather, Leonard Webster Durham, 73, died Mar. 5, 1998 in Provo of a long illness.
Born July 17, 1924 to George and Anna Davis Durham in Fredonia, Kansas. Married Bonnie Baughn; marriage later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Active in the LDS Church and was a High priest. Served in World War II in the U.S. navy.God saw that you were getting tired and saw a cure was not to be. So He put his arms around you and whispered "Come with me." With tearful eyes we let you go and saw you slip away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay beating, hard working hands to rest. GOD broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
Survived by wife of Mt.Pleasant; son, Charles and Bonnie Durham of Neenah, WI; four daughters, Mary and Howard Kligge of Rock Creek, OH; Linda Meier of Mt. Pleasant, UT; Nancy and Bill Hanes of Buckeye, AZ; and Karen and Lee Soderborg of Taylorsville, UT; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Timmons Funeral Home, 510 7th Fredonia, Kansas. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 So. 2200 W. Riverton, Utah. and Saturday two hours prior in Fredonia, Kansas. Interment Maple Grove Cemetery, Roper, Kansas.
