Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Larson H. Caldwell, born June 10, 1924, died March 5, 1998 at the age of 73.

Son of Edna Emeline Larson Caldwell and Horace Caldwell. He was the third of four children, Clive and Ina Caldwell of Vernal, Iris and Tom Tubb of Midland, Texas, and Melba and Harold Stevens of Kaysville, Utah.He married Frankie Conaway and they had one daughter, Pamela Rene and husband, Harry Haines of Washington Court House, Ohio. They were divorced and he married Lucille Carroll of Vernal. They had 10 children, Leslie Hina Turner; Carol Mohea and husband, Tom Sprouce, Roosevelt, UT; Mona Linette and husband, Curt Rollins; Lisa Patrice and husband, Steve Glick, Sandy, UT; Wendy Suzanne and husband Floyd Morton, Vernal, UT; Heather Ilene and Val Carter, Pingree, ID; Larson H. Caldwell and wife, Freida, Riverton, UT; Matthew L. Caldwell and wife, Gayla, Centerville, UT; Markham Lee Caldwell and wife, Candi, Layton, UT; and William Ashley Caldwell, South Jordan, UT; and 35 grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Leslie Hina Turner; and granddaughter, Shanda Morton.

He served three years in World War II; one year in the Pacific Theater where they flew 35 combat missions in B24's. He was active in the Jr. Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club for 35 years, served as president and other offices. President of the Dinosaur Land Advertising. He was a successful businessman, working in insurance, banking and real estate. He was one of the founders of Basin State Bank. He served on three different high councils and in three different bishoprics. He loved his family and served two LDS missions with his wife.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 9, 1998, 1 p.m. at the Glines Stake Center. Friends may call Sunday evening, 7-9 p.m. at Thompson's Vernal Mortuary and Monday from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Glines Stake Center. Burial will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery with full military honors by the American Legion.
