An off-duty police officer was arrested Monday for allegedly shooting a man who was cleaning car windows with a squeegee.

Officer Michael Meyer, 28, was charged with attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment and weapons possession, detective Mark Patterson said.Meyer allegedly shot 37-year-old Antoinne Reid in the chest Sunday afternoon as Reid was cleaning car windows near an expressway in the Bronx, Sgt. Cory Cuneo said.

Reid was in critical condition Monday.
