Our beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on June 14, 1998. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Kent was born on September 28, 1968 to James and Patricia Roach. He attended Timpview High School where he was active in sports. Kent later attended the University of Utah graduating in 1992 with a bachelor degree in Sociology. From 1994, Kent worked as a Corrections Officer at the Utah State Prison, where he held the rank of Sergeant. Active, adventurous, and creative, Kent was always moving. His life will be remembered by all who know and loved him, because everywhere they will see what he loved: the mountains from the seat of a bike, a lake of glass with only one skier, a snowy slope beckoning, laughter in the evening with friends, the glow of a child's face when an adult spends time on their level, or a big baby brother giving a small older sister a hug. Kent's love was life, and he made all of our lives richer because he lived his life with such enthusiasm.Kent is survived by his mother, Patricia Giles, and her husband Neal; as well as his father, James Roach and his wife, Clem. He is also survived by six of the closest brothers and sisters anyone could have: Bonnie (John) Baucom, Shawn (Lisa) Roach, Debra (Darryl) Johnson, Mary (Craig) Hubbard, Troy (LuAnne) Roach, and Tim Roach; also numerous grandparents, cousins and best friends, all living along the Wasatch Front.
Funeral service will be held Friday, at 11 a.m. at the Anderson and Sons Mortuary (49 East 100 North, American Fork) where friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to service. Burial in Provo City Cemetery.
