Sportsmen will be able to apply for antlerless permits for units along the south slope of the Uinta Mountains this fall. Only one section of the South Slope unit, the Yellowstone area, will not have permits available.

There will be 90 resident permits on the South Slope, 180 on the South Slope Vernal, 109 on South Slope Diamond Mountain, 109 on Diamond Mountain North and 109 on Diamond Mountain South.The Yellowstone section, located on Ute tribal lands, was closed because of a trapping program started last year by the Ute Tribe Fish and Game.

Hunters can apply for antlerless permits through the mail until 5 p.m. on June 25.
