Florence Nora Wall Williams, age 94, passed away Monday, June 15, 1998 at the Rocky Mountain Care Center in Clearfield, due to congestive heart failure.
She was born July 9, 1903 in Layton, Utah, a daughter of Thomas Holwell and Florence Jaques Wall. She married William Verd (Jack) Williams, November 24, 1926 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away May 25, 1959.She was raised in Layton, Utah. She lived a short time in Logan, Utah; Shelley, Idaho; and Salina, Utah. The remainder of her life was spent in Layton, Utah. She attended elementary school in Layton, high school in Kaysville, and Utah State University in Logan, and the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. She taught school for many years. She worked for Hill Air Force Base for 20 years. She was an active member of the LDS Church holding both ward and stake positions.
Surviving are four sons, Thomas Verd (JoAnne H.) Williams; Carl Mark (Paula B.) Williams; Hal David (Gennette H.) Williams; all of Layton, Utah; Lloyd Jack (Lora T.) Williams, Roy, Utah; two daughters, Florence Williams Hohman, Layton, Utah; Alice Williams Lewis, Las Vegas, Nevada; also surviving are two daughters-in-law, Glenna J. Williams and Evelyn H. Williams; 42 grandchildren, 103 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren; also surviving, one brother, Robert Wall, of Layton.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas Wall; Ervin Wall; Irie Wall; two sons, Ned Williams; and Frank Williams, a son-in-law, Robert Hohman; grandchildren, Denise Williams; Douglas Williams; Danny Williams; and John Dale Hohman.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 19, 1998 at Lindquist Layton Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Road, with Bishop David Moss of the Snow Canyon Ward officiating. Friends and family may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to service. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
