DAVIS COUNTY
STATE HOUSE: Two races feature a clear ideological difference - a very conservative challenger and a more moderate GOP incumbent. A19
SENATE: Veteran David Steele faces a primary against Jeffrey Ostler, in sort of a rematch from 1994. A19
COUNTY RACES: With no incumbent running for assessor or recorder, those races attracted multiple GOP candidates. A18
UTAH COUNTY
LEGISLATURE: The only two primaries are Republican - a Senate race in the Orem and northwest Provo area, and a House race in Lehi and American Fork. A21
ALPINE SCHOOLS: Four Orem residents want to succeed Linda Campbell, who has been on the school board for 12 years. A20
WASATCH COUNTY
COUNTY RACES: In one of the few Democratic primaries in the state, two candidates vie for sheriff. Republicans alsohave a contest, for a County Commission seat. A21
STATE HOUSE: District 54 is contested in the Republican primary by pilot Robert Wren and developer Gordon E. Snow. A21
