Country music manager Jack McFadden, who shepherded the careers of Billy Ray Cyrus and Buck Owens, has died, friends said Wednesday.

McFadden, 71, died Tuesday from cirrhosis of the liver, just a day after Cyrus swept five trophies - including entertainer of the year - at the TNN/Music City News awards ceremony.For more than 30 years, McFadden managed Buck Owens' career and he served as talent coordinator for the long-running television show "Hee Haw."
