Singer/songwriter Nanci Griffith has built a bridge between folk and country. Griffith aptly calls the style "folkabilly."

The Grammy Award-winner will return to Salt Lake City for a concert in the Snowbird Event Center on Tuesday, June 23. General admission tickets are available at all ArtTix outlets, or by calling 355-ARTS (2787).Griffith and her band, the Blue Moon Orchestra, will play some old favorites and some new tunes from her upcoming album "Other Voices, Too (A Trip Back to Bountiful)," which will be released in July. As the title suggests, the new album is a continuation of the original tribute-to-songwriters collection called "Other Voices, Other Rooms," an album that won a Grammy for Best Contemporary Folk Performance in 1993.

Many of Griffith's tunes, which were originally written as folk songs, have been recorded and "countrified" by the likes of Willie Nelson and Emmylou Harris ("Gulf Coast Highway"), Kathey Mattea ("Love At the Five and Dime") and Suzy Bogguss ("Outbound Plane").
