Former Alabama Gov. George Wallace is back home after being treated in a Montgomery hospital for an upper respiratory infection. Wallace, 78, was released Thursday after a three-day stay, Jackson Hospital spokeswoman Carmen Stegall said. The former governor was admitted to the hospital Monday with difficulty breathing. He had been sick for about a week with a bad cold, said his son, George Wallace Jr.
