"Home Place" will be the right place for six families buying a home in the Franklin neighborhood come July 1.

Neighborhood Housing Services of Provo, a private nonprofit organization working in the Franklin neighborhood in the southwest area of the city, is near completion of its new construction development call "Home Place." All six homes in the development at 500 S. 700 West have three bedrooms and two baths with a two-car garage and unfinished basement.Neighborhood Housing Services is working to help people of moderate to low income find homeownership. This project is designed to help in that goal as well as improving the physical condition of the property where the homes are being built.

The housing services has made the homes as affordable as possible with low-interest loans potentially bringing the payments as low as $772 a month. A set of restrictions involving family size and monthly income will determine eligibility. For a family of four, the maximum annual income to qualify would be $34,950.
