Arthur Bond, age 99, peacefully passed away on Monday, June 15, 1998 in Bountiful, Utah. He will be welcomed by many loved ones who have preceded him.

Arthur was born November 29, 1898 in Heber City, Utah. He was the fifth of seven children born to Alice Taylor and William Henry Bond. He married Edith Rippon in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on August 19, 1929. She preceded him in death on June 22, 1982.He attended school in Heber City; graduated from Brigham Young University in 1922. He taught school one year at the Snowflake Stake Academy in Snowflake, Arizona where he also had a winning basketball team. Coalville, Utah became his home in 1923 where he was employed by the North Summit School District for 43 years as a teacher of industrial arts and geometry; also served as Counselor for the high school and Treasurer of the School Board.

Activity in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was a major part of his life. He served in many ward and stake positions. One of his most loved callings was as a temple veil worker for thirteen years in the Salt Lake Temple.

Arthur always found time for a well-manicured yard; his garden was his pride and joy and he loved sharing the produce with family and friends. His carpenter shop was full of activity as there were plenty of projects to be built or repaired for friends.

He was one of "Santa's best helpers" with the many cupboards, tables and chairs, cradles, doll houses and barns that he built.
