Arlene Estella Kelly Tolman, 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 17, 1998 of causes incident to age.

Arlene was born August 31, 1915, the daughter of Roy Newton Kelly and Daisy Estella Hemenger, in Jamestown, New York. She married Fredrick Burton Tolman, April 16, 1938 in Sinclairville, New York. From that meeting Arlene, with Fred at her side, has devoted her life to genealogy research, including making several trips to the east coast and New England areas in search of ancestors. Words alone cannot tell of her love for this hobby, turned avocation, and the countless hours of devotion she has had in her life-long pursuit to find her roots and help family members locate their kindred dead. Her family of cousins will be forever grateful for her love for all her cousins. She is survived by two sons, Ernest B. and Jody Tolman, of Kerrville, Texas; Ronald B. and Gerrie Tolman, of Sumland Park, New Mexico; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred.
