Health-care professionals can learn about a unique university program that lets them earn a bachelor's degree.

The Health Arts Program from the University of St. Francis will be introduced during meetings Wednesday, June 24, at noon at Davis Hospital and Medical Center and at 4 p.m. at Pioneer Valley Hospital. Other meetings will be held Thursday, June 25, at noon at Shriner's Hospital, at 4 p.m. at Jordan Valley Hospital and at 6 p.m. at the Salt Lake City Regional Medical Center."The Health Arts Program offers health-care professionals who have completed associate degrees and/or hospital diplomas the op-portunity to earn a bachelor of science degree by providing the liberal arts portion of their education," said Steve Volkening, associate dean. "We recognize the value of previous education and professional experience and award credits for both," he said.

More than 17,000 health-care professions, from nurses to radiologic technologists, radiation therapists and dental hygienists, have earned their bachelor's degree from the University of St. Francis.
