The quest for religious freedom motivated the Pilgrims to set sail for a new land. Sailing on the Mayflower, the Pilgrims landed here, at Plymouth Rock, in 1620, an area that now lies within the boundaries of the Hingham Massachusetts Stake.

Jonathan and Dulia Odies, with their children Jamal, Shelby and Kinsley, are modern-day pilgrims from Haiti. They are among the various ethnic groups being welcomed into the gospel in this history-rich area by the stake.
