The Museum of Art at Brigham Young University will host the traveling exhibition "The Art of Architecture: Works by Winners of the Pritzker Architecture Prize." The display of 140 large photographs and 10 models and drawings spotlights the recipients of the profession's most prestigious award, often characterized as the "Nobel Prize" for architecture. The exhibit coincides with the 20th anniversary formal presentation of the 1998 Pritzker award winner, Renzo Piano. Other renowned architects in the show are past Pritzker winners I.M. Pei, Philip Johnson, Richard Meyer and Frank Gehry. The exhibit begins June 27 and runs through Oct. 10.
- The Springville Museum of Art will host a group exhibit by by Brad Aldridge, Bruce Brainard, Ron Richmond, Todd Stilson, Christopher Thornock, Michael Workman and Christopher Young through June 28. The exhibit is a result of their 15-day trip to Europe this spring where they visited seven countries.- The National Steinbeck Center museum will exhibit major paintings that reflect California in the 1920s, '30s and '40s. "This Side of Eden: Images of Steinbeck's California" covers a tumultuous period in the state's history. While a number of the artworks come from museums and universities, others were discovered in private collections. The exhibit begins June 27. WORKSHOPS AND LECTURES
- The Utah Museum of Fine Arts will host a gallery talk with Sheila D. Muller on Sunday, June 28, at 2 p.m. Muller will explore the social and historical content of the painting "An Allegory Amsterdam" by Domenicus van Wijnen (1661-ca.1700). This marks the first public exhibition of the painting since its acquisition.
- The Museum of Church History and Art will finish its five-part lecture series "Israel, Jerusalem and the Temple" with a lecture by Daniel C. Peterson, a professor at Brigham Young University. Peterson will speak on "Israel, Jerusalem and the Temple: A Latter-day Saint Perspective" Thursday, June 25 at 7 p.m. in the Museum Theater.

- The Framework Gallery in the University Mall in Orem is having its "Arts in the Window" demonstrations on Saturday throughout June. On June 27 "The Art of Watercolor" will be demonstrated by Rett Ashby from 1-4 p.m.
- The Buffalo Bill Historical Center will sponsor a symposium by five distinguished American Indians who will examine how the perception of American Indians has been shaped by images in film, literature, visual arts and the popular media.
